The small island of Pulau Tumuk (Tanjung Tomok) is part of the village of Paya, where it is located at its northern tip. It is sought after for its perfect coral reef that circles the island on the north and northwest side.
How to get to Palau Tumuk
If you're staying in Paya, ideally at the pretty Paya Beach Spa and Dive resort, then you've got the island right in front of your eyes. Just grab your snorkel, dive goggles and possibly a life jacket and fins and head out. You can get here almost dry-footed at low tide, at high tide you have to swim 50 metres.
If you are staying in another location on Tioman, then Tumuk is very often part of organised trips. These usually cost up to 80 MYR per person. However, you will often be offered the second islet, Renggis Island, which is closer to Tekeku and boats can dock there better. Ask the agency what they offer, or take a water taxi to Paya for 40 MYR per person.
